The Godfathers... or as they were originally known 'The Avenging Disco Godfathers', were formed in the summer of 1997 at Exeter University by the original Dons, Garth Hannaford, James 'Porky' Halcro Johnston, and David Ayres to play in the Exeter University 7's of that year. The ethos behind the Godfathers has always been to entertain both on and off the field with the emphasis on the legendary Godfather nights out.
